Amanda Relaford ~ Props Artisan

AMANDA RELAFORD earned a M.F.A degree in Properties Design and Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015. Her professional credits include Assistant Properties Coordinator for The Ring of the Nibelung, produced by The Washington National Opera at The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in 2016. She has had the pleasure of working as a Props Artisan at The Aspen Music Festival, and Creede Repertory Theatre. Amanda also served as the Properties Manager for The Paramount Theatre in Aurora, Illinois from 2016 to 2018. Before moving to the Midwest, Amanda earned her undergraduate degree in theatre from Georgia State University in 2010. During her time in Atlanta she worked at Theatrical Outfit in a variety of roles, including production assistant and wardrobe supervisor. While at Theatrical Outfit she was given the opportunity to work with Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company on multiple occasions. She also had the pleasure to work as a puppet builder at The Center for Puppetry Arts.
